How to complete the KYC process?

Learn how to complete the KYC process and the benefits of completing it.

Know Your Customer is the process of verifying our users' identity using a valid national identity card or passport.

  • Do not close your window or switch tabs during the process

  • If KYC verification is unsuccessful, the user must start the process again

  • Users will have to complete the Wallet KYC and then the Exchange KYC. Both processes are mandatory to use IXFI.

Wallet KYC verification process

  1. Use your favorite browser and access www.ixfi.com.

    • If you already have an account on IXFI, click on the 'Login' button in the upper right-hand corner of IXFI's homepage to login.

    • If you don't have an account on IXFI, click on the 'Register' button in the upper right-hand corner of IXFI's homepage to create one.

  2. Click on the Account icon and then press on Profile.

  3. Press on the KYC Information button and then press the Being KYC Verification button from the Wallet KYC Box. A new page will open, so make sure your browser allows Pop-ups.

    • This will start the Wallet KYC process with our partners Sumsub, so make sure to have your ID / Passport on hand.

    1. Once the new page opens, you will have to start completing your data: Country of Residence, Nationality, Legal Name & Date of Birth.

    2. After completing your data, you will need to select the type of document you have. (Note: allowed documents may vary based on your country)

    3. After selecting the document, you can either continue on Web (if you have a webcam), or press Continue on phone.

      Please be prepared to take a short video of your face (liveness check) and a photo of a government-issued document.

    4. After taking a photo of the document, and completing the liveness check, your KYC will be verified. It usually takes between 5 to 20 minutes, but in some cases it could take longer.

    5. You will receive an email with a confirmation if the Wallet KYC is approved. If the Wallet KYC is rejected, you will receive an email with the reason and you will be able to start the verification process again.

Exchange KYC verification process

After your Wallet KYC Verification is approved, you will be able to complete your Exchange KYC

  1. Go back to the profile section, select KYC Information and Press the Begin KYC Verification button from the Exchange KYC Box.

  2. When the new page opens, click the Continue on Web button if you have a webcam, or scan the QR Code to access the KYC process using IXFI's App.

  3. Once you get to the Let's get you verified page, you can choose any method to start the KYC process:

    • Scan the QR Code using your phone

    • Enter your phone number, and you will receive a security verification code as an SMS

    • Click the Continue with your current device option to finish the KYC process using your desktop device

      Please be prepared to take a photo of your face and a photo of a government-issued document. The documents we accept are National ID, Passport, and Driver's License.

  4. Click the Start Session button.

  5. Click the Allow button to use your camera device.

  6. Click the Take Photo button to take a photo of your document and your face.

  7. Your verification data has been successfully submitted. Click the Continue button.

Once the KYC is successfully completed, you will receive an email and you will be able to use your IXFI account.
